The core members of this list are very close knit. While motorcycles are our primary focus, we often branch off onto other topics that interest us (especially in the off-season). There is basically no list moderation in place (and that's the way we like it). If you only want to know when the rides are or aren't willing to put up with a slew of messages each day, we suggest for you to subscribe in digest mode; see the directions in Step 5 below. #pi.

1. Send the following e-mail to the x-philes majordomo:

2. The majordomo will then automatically reply to your request to the provided e-mail address (your_id@host.whatever). Follow the directions in that e-mail to confirm your request with the server (either reply or use the URL provided in the e-mail.

3. When your confirmation is received by the majordomo, you will be notified on how to send e-mail to the list. Any messages sent to this list will be received by all members. The notification will include how to unsubscribe and change your mailing list options.

4. That's all there is to it! E-mail our listadmin if you are having any problems.

5. BTW if you ever wish to unsubscribe (why would anyone want to do that? ;) ) or need any mailing list instructions (like how to go into digest mode), you can have the greeting message resent to you by mailing the majordomo a message body that has "info compost" instead of "subscribe compost".
